It's very easy to order online at www.kleinfeldpaper.com. Choose the type of product you are looking for (such as Invitations, Save the Dates, etc.), and filter your search by theme, style, design, color, etc. Once you've found a design you like, decide quantity and select a paper option, then click on Personalize to add your own text and/or photos using our easy editing tools. You can change text, add photos, select available colors, and add other design options. Preview your card right online, and then make selections for envelopes if applicable. You can review your entire order before you submit it, including choosing the best shipping option for you.
TIP: You'll want to open an account at Kleinfeld Paper in order to save your work, reorder, or re-use uploaded images. It's easy to open your account any time during the personalization process by clicking Login or Save Project in the upper right corner.

Our design team reviews your card for obvious errors and
determines whether to make any adjustments, such as photo quality, text layout, etc. We'll contact you either via email (preferred) or by phone before making any changes that would dramatically alter the card.
If there are any changes, or if you request it, Customer Service will send you a digital proof to approve before printing.
Upon approval (either by you or our design team), your card goes to print and is shipped out accordingly (see shipping).
TIP: Your credit card will not be charged until your approved order goes to print! There will be an authorization for the purchase amount when you place your order, but the charge will not go through until you've approved the order and it has printed and shipped.
Yes, however, we strongly recommend placing an order through our website to reduce the risk of human error and for the sake of efficiency. We understand there may be times when you are unable to place an order yourself through our website. In this case, it will be our
preference to send you a digital proof to approve first before printing.

We do our best to process orders as soon as we receive them, however, certain print techniques or additional assembly and value-add services will require more time. If you select a die-cut to your order, please add one additional day to the following timeframes:
Typically you'll need to have a final headcount within 2-3 weeks before the wedding to finalize seating and menu orders. Be sure to check with your wedding planner, caterer, and/or venue to find out when they need a final count.
Yes. Order up to 6 sample items (e.g., Invitation, Response Card, Thank You Card, etc.) at no charge. You will need to create a Kleinfeld Paper account if you haven't already done so. Samples ship free via United States Postal Service unless requested otherwise. You will also automatically receive a one-time Invitation Tool Kit free with your first order of samples, which includes the following:
No, samples will not show your personalized information or photos. A sample will look exactly like the image on the website, with the same sample text. Samples will include coordinating envelopes, if applicable.
You can make changes to text, choosing from available font styles and colors. You can also upload a photo for those designs that feature one. If you need to remove lines of text or add additional lines, write this as a request in the Special Request box. When you use the Special Request box, you will be emailed a digital proof, which you will first need to approve before your order prints.
TIP: If you are logged into your Kleinfeld Paper account while personalizing a design with a photo, any photo(s) you upload to the design will be saved in the account for future use. You can also access any other photos you've already uploaded before.
In general, available color options, design elements and their placement on a card cannot be easily changed, as they are an integral part of the overall design. In limited circumstances, and at the designer's discretion, the following examples of possible design changes include:
Using a specific wedding color not currently available for your selected design
Adding a new stationery component not included in the suite
Altering a graphic element already part of the design to reflect your wedding theme (such as a city-specific skyline illustration or other

To personalize a card with a photo (or any other image, icon, logo, etc.), you need to upload the photo directly into the design, as follows:

TIP: If the design layout requires more than one photo, continue the upload process for each photo. By opening a Kleinfeld Paper account, any photos you upload will be saved to your account for future use.
You should upload either a .jpg or .png format file with a resolution of 300 DPI or better. The 'Add Photo' tool will let you know if the size of your photo or resolution isn't right. Customer Service will also contact you directly if there are any issues.
Yes. Use the Special Requests box to indicate what you want to add or remove. Indicate what you deleted, and indicate if you need more space and exactly what text you want to add. We'll email you a proof to approve before printing, and contact you via email or phone if there's any issue.

Yes. When personalizing your place cards, use the Special Requests box to indicate you want names/table numbers printed on them, otherwise they'll print blank. When your order is submitted, a Customer Service Representative will email you an Excel template to fill in names and/or table numbers. Email the Excel file directly back to Customer Service Representative so we can import the information and generate a proof for your review and approval.
Yes, if the design has space to accommodate a logo, image or artwork, it can be added. Existing imagery that is already part of the design cannot be changed, nor can the existing layout be changed to accommodate such. Contact Customer Service to find out how to provide your additional image files.
Yes. You will need to establish a Kleinfeld Paper Account to save your work. Simply click the login button at the top of the page to create your account. When you're logged in, the "Save Project" link is located under the Next button during the personalization process.
Yes. We use the latest, high-resolution technology to display our projects, so the layout, design elements and text should appear as it does on your monitor when it is printed. Colors, however, may appear slightly different from what you see on your computer once printed because computer monitors have different screen settings. We recommend ordering samples before ordering to ensure your selected colors are exactly what you want.
TIP: You won't see any request or instructions made using the Special Requests box in your online preview. You should see any Special Request in a digital proof, which Customer Service will email you directly to approve before your order prints.

Yes, we print orders in languages other than English. Contact Customer Service beforehand to ensure we can meet the timeframe you need. Then place an order for the design and components you want, making selections and going through the personalization process using the Special Requests for language-specific elements such as accents, etc.
TIP: If your language requires using a different alphabet, you will need to contact Customer Service first. One of our Customer Service Representatives will work with you, and you will need to carefully review and approve a digital proof before your order prints.
Yes, we can print both a return address ($0.50 per envelope) and individual guest addresses ($0.50 per envelope) when you select these options during the personalization process.
For Return Addresses, you will enter the designated return address as you are placing your order
For Mailing Addresses, you will be emailed an Excel template from Customer Service, which you will need to complete and email back. Customer Service will then email you a digital proof to review and approve your guest addresses before your order prints.

Order at least as many invitations as there are mailing addresses on your guest list. We strongly recommend ordering anywhere between 5 - 10 extra invitations with your initial order, in case of unforeseen changes to your guest list. This is more cost efficient than placing a separate, lower quantity order with shipping costs.
To determine how much postage your invitations will cost, assemble a sample invitation with all the enclosures you intend to mail and take it to your local post office. Postage depends on both the size and weight of the invitation. Square invitations will certainly require more postage, so be sure to check with your local post office to determine the exact amount.
TIP: If you add stamps to your Response card envelopes, also bring one to your local post office with the response card inside to determine accurate postage.
At this time we do not offer printed proofs of your order. If you've made changes to your order, used the special requests box, or are ordering letterpress printing, we'll send a digital proof via email for your approval before your order prints.
Kleinfeld Paper will not charge your credit card until the order has printed and shipped. Once you've placed your order, there will be an authorization for the purchase amount, but the charge will not go through until the order has printed and shipped
Please contact us immediately if you are not satisfied with your printed order so we can figure out the best return option for you. You may return the full original shipment within 30 days from the date of the invoice:
If the error is ours, we will correct the error and reprint the original order at 100% of the original cost, including shipping.
If the error is not our fault, we will reprint the order at 50% of the original cost, plus additional shipping charges.

Yes, you can easily re-order the same item(s) by logging into your Kleinfeld Paper account, where the information is always saved. If you are making a minor change, such as a text change, you can indicate that in the Special Requests box. For more involved changes, you should either contact Customer Service or place a new order.
If a customer order is cancelled at anytime prior to proof approval, there will be an administration fee in the amount of $40 charged to your account, but the remaining balance of the order amount will not be charged.
If an order is cancelled after proof approval, your account will be charged 50% of the wholesale cost of the order.
Historically, tissue paper was used to prevent ink that took a long time to dry from smudging. With modern digital printing, ink dries immediately and tissue paper is no longer needed, but some prefer the traditional look it provides. It's a matter of preference and taste.
Envelope liners layer the inside of the envelope and are the first glimpse of your wedding stationery style that guests see as they open the envelope. They are simply a way to add color and pattern
coordinated with your invitation design. Whether or not you choose to add them is more a matter of style than usefulness, since our
envelope paper is very thick and not at all transparent.
